Out Now. Also includes Disco Weapon 2.
Glasgow’s funkiest, Shaka Loves You kick off the new decade for Bombstrikes in style, with 2 new tracks that will help ease away those January blues. The last 12 months have been an amazing year for SLY, playing many of the UK’s finest festivals, a new monthly show on London’s Soho Radio and also releasing a number 1 selling compilation; Disco Funkin’ Volume 1. Judging by this first music endeavor of 2020, it’s not hard to understand why they are unique in what they do and ones to watch out for this year. The two tracks here continue the disco goodness with the title track ‘Love is true’ delivering an infectious vocal refrain and Shaka’s trademark live percussion with funk laden grooves. This is alongside the mighty ‘Disco Weapon 2’ which does exactly what it says on the tin and after the massive success of the first Disco Weapon, which was supported by the likes of Defected head honcho Simon Dunmore and Glitterbox Radio, has been waited for with some excitement. The first of many releases for the SLY this year and another essential release for Bombstrikes.
