X-Ray Ted Debut Album Remixed

X-Ray Ted's debut album Moving On gets the remix treatment with a new package that adds a different perspective while staying true to the spirit of the original. Featuring four remixes and four never-before-released instrumental versions, this release dives deeper into the reimagined vintage sounds that made the original album so special.

First up, Jim Sharp flips "Talkin", now featuring a brand-new vocal flow from the impressive Lafayette Stokely, who builds on Jim's boom bap production to deliver a fresh take on the much-loved original. DC funk heavyweights Fort Knox Five take on "Strut", flipping it into a 4/4 funk stomper with a tougher rhythm section, infectious horns, and that signature soul-drenched vocal hook. X-Ray Ted steps in himself with the "Hotel Mix" of "Dance With Me", upping the tempo and toughening the vibe while keeping the soul very much alive. Meanwhile, WBBL completely reimagines "Get Out The House" (featuring the legendary Afrika Baby Bam of Jungle Brothers) as a low-slung, bass-fuelled hip-hop workout—blending funk and electronica with his trademark finesse.

Also included are four instrumental versions from the original LP. From the guitar-laced bounce of "I Been Good" to the horn-driven power of "Strut" or "Dance With Me", to the full-on funk of "Get Out The House", these stand tall as tracks in their own right—essential cuts for DJs and funk lovers alike.
