Paying respectful homage to the original by Nu Yorican Soul (a Masters At Work project), the track is transformed into a soulful disco-house jam, driven by an ever-evolving, organ-led groove with rich string and horn flourishes adding serious dancefloor depth. Yolanda Quartey, better known as the four-time Grammy-nominated Yola, steps in on vocals, delivering a raw, soulful performance that cuts through with real weight, no gimmicks, just class.
